Holding Pattern....
Exercise is key -- 1100 calories and tracking grams of fat and carbs don't matter if movement is not taking place. That's all I have to say - getting and grip and making sure I am moving.

Did This and Got That
I did this

and got this

If you can't see the image, it's the scale w/me below 140 (139.8 -- 139.6 w/o the phone). I'll integrate exercise after 3/22. Did have a treat last night though - hadn't eaten anything all day.

What's New
What's new is that I am varying what I eat even more. You know how blogs are boring without pictures (or links in this case) so here's a link to image and info about my new favorite produce item. It's fennel - a cross between celery and mint and I like it. I slice it and it's the pasta substitute in a vegetable based soup.

Smh...it's a good thing, though
I'm shaking my head at my poor, almost abandoned blog.
So, where am I on January 25th, 2012?
Well, around the last week of December, my weight had gotten up to 153 pounds -- as large as I've ever been in my human existence. Went through my annual cut-away time before my birth anniversary. There I lost some of the pounds --I can say there's ten pounds less of me now, but this up and down cycle has to end.
I went to a life changing event called the Landmark Forum in December. Something I heard there made so much sense. It was this: change is more of the same thing in a different form. What I actually want to do is transform and let go of something (or things) to become someone else. Transformation takes place by renewing the mind. That's the focus this year. If that happens, then without any certainty, then the change in what my body looks like will take place.
Blogs are boring without pictures, so let me post my scandalous before pictures that were taken the last week of December. Yeah, I kept my clothes on. The enormity of my arse and those huge growths on the sides of my thighs are still very evident.

A goal accomplished: FIVE POUNDS LOST!!
I'm out of the 140's!
Every post says nearly the same thing: watch what I eat and EXERCISE to experience lasting weight loss. There's no way around it.
There is more to it than that, though. While the simple equation says that 1200 calories/day + 6 days of 45 minute workouts=equals a consistent weight loss, managing the mind to make sure this is happening is something else.
At any rate -- I lost five pounds since September 28. Done it the safe and healthy way, pretty much. Thinking about this: "if you don't know why you do what you do, abuse is inevitable." (ADC)
Keeping the why in the forefront. Keeping it moving -- it's paying off!

Slow & Steady
Weigh-In Results
It's not two, five, or ten pounds. My current weight is 142.0; nonetheless, I can say I came by this six-tenths of a pound honestly. I get it -- variables in this weight loss equation are exercise and diet. (Not new, right?) Personalizing it further: exercise every morning and eating fruit/vegetable centered snacks and meals every 2-3 hours appear efficacious:). Tracking w/WW helps -- it does the statistical boundary setting, tracking and analysis for me.
Strategy for the upcoming week: continue to engage the Couch to 5K and Circuit programs. Prepackage my foods when I am going out. Eat at home before going out. --Keeping it moving, Nina
